Highlights
Week 25:
February 23rd-26th, 2016
The Nursery students learned how to identify colors during Physical Education, this week. They also sang their nursery rhymes and danced.




The Pre-K students learned about the letters C and D this week during Phonics. A lot of them are getting better at identifying and distinguishing upper and lowercase letters. They’ve also worked on their fine motor skills.


















The K-1 students learned about the letter B this week during Phonics. They’ve also made Letter B Butterfly crafts. The students pasted colored paper on their butterflies.
The K-2 students learned about the number 13 and practiced writing their numbers this week during Math.




The K-3 students practiced the long jump this week during Physical Education.
Week 24:
February 15th-19th, 2016
The Nursery Class enjoyed many activities during Free Play, such as, playing with building blocks, reading books, playing kick-ball, and crawling in and out of tunnels.















The Pre-K students reviewed their alphabets, starting with the letter “A”, and classification of the different colors, shapes, and objects.
The K-1 students worked on the letter “W”, both upper and lower cases, during Handwriting Class. During Math, the students were taught to classify shapes, sizes, and colors.

















The K-2 students read the book called The Party. They made paper chains and balloon collages using this week’s Sight Words: “Here”, “Are”, and “The”.









The K-3 Class received a postcard from their pen pals in Japan. The students explored about the Shinkansen or the Bullet Train, Soft-Served Ice-creams, and Japanese National Costume. The students also got to taste one of the many types of Japanese sweets, such as the mochi.

DayCare Week
Week 23:
February 1st-5th, 2016
The Nursery Class danced to the songs “The Wheels on the Bus”, “Rainbow”, “Action Action”, and “Five Little Ducklings” during Active Learning.



During Nursery Rhymes, the students enjoyed dancing to the songs, “Hot Potato” and “Five Little Monkeys”.
The K-1 students reviewed the letters “R”, “S”, “T”, and “U”, and worked on the letter “V” during Handwriting Class.
















The K-2 students practiced reading “Guessing Game”. The Sight Words this week are “what”, “the”, and “in”.
The K-3 students participated in a racing tournament. They learned to use their body muscles to help them navigate their routes.
